I was thinking matinee - how about the rest of you guys? Probably easier for me as an early matinee. I usually end up cooking Sunday dinner :-( and this weekend I'll definitely be doing it as Sue's away in Barcelona.

So, are we definitely on for Sunday just after noon?
If so, how's the parking in Muswell Hill these days. It always used to be awful and that was thirty years ago! Haven't been back in a long time :-)

Yes, definitely 12.00 Sunday Dave.
Parking is actually very easy on our road - we are in fact very lucky given the area in which we live! ;D
Looks like this Sunday's video club will consist of: Tim Andy Dave Me!
Will arrange another date in a couple of months for anyone else who wants to see it...

Just a thanks to Rob for putting up with us (and Yimmy for being the hostess with the most-est! ) Dave and Tim, you missed some fun in the afternoon! Rob and i had a crash course in 'Metro Maintenance 101' and managed to finish the job (all except for a breather pipe that had rotted away in the top of the wheelarch - future project! ) For those who missed the inaugural meeting of the knitting circle, the video was actually pretty good, very informative and the work that goes into a head is incredible. I came away feeling exited and worried in equal ammounts, the work itself is quite easy, getting it right however is another matter entirely!! There are so many opportunities to screw it up The video itself has some comedy value too, only because it is very much a home video type affair and therefore it was quite amusing, the odd out of focus shot and hand held camera wobble, plus mewing cats in the background and the odd boy racer zooming by Dave's house! But it was very informative and also it was useful to see someone make a few mistakes - sort of a warning to us amateurs of what can go wrong. The most interesting things from my point of view were some of the techniques Dave employs - quite logical really, but things i wouldn't have come up with on my own - like having a full range of valves and using them as feeler guages to ensure thecorrect diameter through the ports and also knowing that one of the water ways is redundant and can therefore be sealed with a rod and 'broken into' with the porting work to further improve the flow dynamics. Great stuff. ;D
