Hi folks - just had to share this with you all: This airbox was in Steve Butt's car when I caught up with him (metaphorically - not in reality on the hill climb!) on Sunday at the Gurston Hill Climb. Check out the web site www.auto-teknix.co.uk/raceelise.htmThis airbox thing liberates a bearly believable 20 lb.ft torque on Steve's VHPD head 1.8 litre K-series.... Wow From the cylinder head, the airbox projects about 50cm - which is why there is no boot space on the Elise in the pix Bit of a problem for an F too: one would have to seriously modify the rear bulkhead to get it to fit. Not that there isn't a precident for doing this: Techspeed had to modify the MGF Cup cars in a similar way to get the KV6 throttle bodies to fit... Hmm, 216 bhp and over 160 ft.lb torque sounds mighty fine to me... ;D

Looks similar, does it ? Seen last weekend. No idea about the maker, though. This car had installed a _special_ gearbox aswell. short ratios in lower gears. d**n was it quick accelerating. This Elise is on the road with 200bhp conversion _rock solid_ since three years.

WOW! That's almost identical! Very similar power output too - I think that Steve Butt's car has 216bhp... Is that kit a commercial product Dieter - or a DIY?
