Brilliant: Victoria sent through a pair of hoses (£20!) so that I can replace the weeping ones on my car. So now all I have to do is replace them.
Dave - any suggestions/ tips/ hints?

Is this the hoses which would go into the heater matrix Rob? If so I have the same problem but not sure if it's the hoses or the plastic connectors which are the cause

No, not the heater hoses Bob - these are the engine outlet/inlet hoses that connect the engine coolant system to the underbody pipes to/from the radiator.
Have you got a leaking heater matrix?

Have you got a leaking heater matrix? No. A leak on one of the hoses that enters into the cabin and would supply the heater matrix itself. There is always a tiny droplet of coolant at the point where the larger hose joins the very small stubby hose. I've heard that the plastic connectors can fail and MS sells replacement ali ones but I'd like to know if it's the hose that's perished or the connector before I buy the wrong one!

Yes, I'd read that on Mike's website as well. No reason to doubt what he says, but unfortunately, I don't have any more experience than you Bob. Where is the coolant leaking from? Is there an obvious split in the hose with a coolant weap - or is the coolant dripping from the union? If the latter, then I'd probably go for Mike's alloy replacement. Or go for some second hand plastic items from the MGF Centre/ Midlands MGF if you're not quite sure: they'd probably do you these parts (including hoses!) for a fraction of the price... ;D

It's a teeny tiny droplet and there is never any coolant lying on the ground.
I'll change it when I change my coolant in the next fortnight
