They don't have any of the parts made up, so they're shipping just the flexi bit to me, then i've go to take the old one out and weld the new flexi bit in place, then send the old one back to them, they're posting the new one today

I guess you've got TechSpeed on the case have you? We must stop recommending them - I can't get my car booked in, there's so much demand on their time Or is it that we should stop you doing stuff to your car

Glad i got it sorted in time to enjoy at least some of the day at silverstone. if you look at the pic of the janspeed manifold on mike's site... www.mikesatur.co.uk/images/manifoldss42.jpg[/img] you'll see how the flexi isn't inline with the engine, so will fail in not much time at all!

Kingsley, I've just modified your last post so that the image is shown on the thread...
At first glance, the flexi section ought to be okay, but you are right; the flexi section is at an angle to the direction of engine movement - if it were either perpendicular to or in line with the axis of engine rotation, it'd fair a whole lot better.
Something to consider for anyone aiming to bring out their own 4-2-1 manifold. Best let the manufacturers know!
