I've been having a play with Sue's new laptop (Bought by me, as a present to her as a selfless act ... honestly : What is interesting is the Air temp readings when the engine is warm the air inlet temp is high ±80 degrees. MGR in their wisdom have located the senor in a particularly hot location, and although the air itself may not be this hot the readings being sent to the MEMS are incorrect. Hotter reading from the ATP will result in less fuel being squirted into the cylinders so potentially running a little lean. I've had a thread on the Caterham forum and it seems that Dave Walker often installs a remote ATP (VW?) to send more accurate readings to the ECU. I might investigate the installation of a remote ATP and see what happens.... Tim

I am sure that the ATM is returning a correct temperature Tim - but if DW maps without using this temperature return, it would certainly explain why the engine sometimes has problems running... Two other options to consider: 1. remap using the actual values the ATM is returning or 2. use one of those 22k Ohm resistors that are sooo popular on FleaBay as a 'Cheap Performance Chip' Might work actually - as the return signal tells the engine that the intake air is cooler than it actually is - tantamount to remounting the ATM in a cooler place!
