What would be the result of fitting the VVC gearbox to the MPi. I know the ratios on the VVC are different to take into account the higher power band.
Thoughts?

I would presume that the VVC gearbox is designed for the higher reving more powerful engine so if those two requirements can be satisfied (ie Emerald) may be it could be worth considering.... Rob...!?

Bob, take a look at the ratios listed here: www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/facts_and_figures/transmission_ratio_data.htm; the VVC has exactly the same set of gear ratios as the MPi, but the final drive is shorter. Result, the gears end up being slightly shorter, so you accelerate faster, but end up with the engine running at a higher speed on a motorway cruise. Not a dramatic difference though.
