Thought it would be good to start the forum with seeing where we all are ie what engine mods people already have!
I have: 1.8i DVA Large inlet valves gas flowed head Piper 285h cams Vernier pullies Emerald ECU (mapped) Jenvy throttle bodies Bernard Scouse airbox Janspeed 4-2-1 manifold Cat bypass tube MS Daytona exhaust
This all gets about 172 bhp, should be 190 (might be with the de-cat but havn't had it rolling)

LOL ;D Well, I think you're going to win the 'engine top trumps' Kingsley, but for the record:
Standard unported engine K&N cone airfilter inside a Rover 820 airbox with cold air intake Re-rated and calibrated fuel pressure regulator (3.3bar) "Ported" standard exhaust manifold Mike Satur Imola exhaust system Magnecore 8.5mm ignition leads (not sure why I'm mentioning this, since they have as much effect upon performance as a packet of Cornflakes). Erm, I think that's it!

Neil - I still have that 48mm TB and flywheel to give to you! Sadly it won't fit on Gen's Metro GTa (now known as Mini Moo - on account of the registration plate, 'CJD'), otherwise she would have ended up with a modified motor when I get around to replacing the fuel pump!

R573 CBW's VVC engine
* DVA head - probably what he's now called K06a, but with standard cams - with cleaned up standard exhaust manifold * 52mm Trophy TB * ITG Maxogen system * Phoenix exhaust * FSE Boost valve * TF 160 oil cooler
Coming soon: * TF160 thermostat and plumbing * Davies Craig Water Pump configured for running after engine shutdown

I'll mention it to Roy next time I speak to him. Regarding the oil cooler - I still can't decide on this: is it worth the cost of fitting on my car or not?

Rob,
I spoke to Roy today. They are waiting for delivery of two control units from the sparky. Once they have these, they are ready to fit the EWP. My plan is to get it done before Brands. Could you do the same? We could run some tests then on 23/2.

Might be possible: I was planning to head up there before Brands in any case so I could get the lads to investigate why there was a knocking sound eminating from somewhere in the front suspension... If only two control units - one for TS's car, one for yours - will there be another for mine?

If only two control units - one for TS's car, one for yours - will there be another for mine? There are only two pumps and so we only need two control units. These will go into our two cars. Ultimately, the TS car will be left with no pump and no control unit. Might be possible: I was planning to head up there before Brands in any case so I could get the lads to investigate why there was a knocking sound eminating from somewhere in the front suspension... OK, that sounds good. I'm waiting on Roy coming back with a date now. It might be worth you asking him to do the same for you i.e. as soon as he has the control units to call you and fix a date.

My thoughts exactly Dave - I'll speak to Roy today Do we plan on doing some basic testing @ Brands? I was thinking along the lines of "Does the pump come on and off as expected?" and "does the EWP have any impact on normal cooling?" rather than using temperature sensors to give us temperature telemetry. Will need to chat to Tim about the telemetry: the project stalled as he was struggling to get four clean input channels that didn't influence each other... Perhaps time to start a new thread dedicated to the EWP! LOL

I was thinking along the lines of "Does the pump come on and off as expected?" and "does the EWP have any impact on normal cooling?" rather than using temperature sensors to give us temperature telemetry. Assuming we can both get the pumps installed before Brands then we should definitely try to do some sort of testing there. It's too good an opportunity to miss, as we have no organisational worries at Brands; it being a SELOC day. This isn't a burning reason, but the other factor we should consider is that Andrew Burroughs has phoned several times since Xmas. He is anxious to get some sort of outcome before we are too far into the 'season'. After all the delays on EWP installation we should try to be faster with the testing.

My turn! /me ITG Maxogen /me Trophy TB /me VVC inlet and plenum matched to TB and head (MS) /me MS Stage 1 head /me Magnacor leads /me MS Stainless steel flexi /me Cat bypass /me Pheonix Exhaust Not too bad, used to have a MS Stage 2 head, but it went bang in a big way, i am therefore sceptical about larger valves! [Sorry Andy - had to abbreviate this post because this isn't a secure area of the board ]
